Rezidence Čechova

The design for a complete renovation of an apartment on Čechova street in Prague’s Letná district was created for a couple in their fifties who see their home as a place of calm, comfort, and everyday life. Although they eat out most of the time, they wanted a generous social space where they can spend time together, relax, listen to music, or simply enjoy their morning coffee.
The kitchen isn’t designed as a generous space for everyday cooking, but as an elegant, functional hub of the apartment that matches the owners’ lifestyle.
The private part of the apartment respects each partner’s need for their own space — each has their own bedroom, offering calm, privacy, and room for individual rest.
Great care was taken to preserve the apartment’s original character. High ceilings, historic interior doors, and other original architectural features were sensitively restored and complemented with contemporary materials and fittings. The result is a harmonious blend of history and modern living that retains the home’s authentic atmosphere.
